The seahorse is a fascinating marine animal. It has a unique horse-like head, curled tail, and are one of the few species that swim upright. They are also one of the longest-living marine animals, with a lifespan of up to 1,200 days. In seahorses, the female seahorse transfers eggs to the male, who incubates them on his tail. This is known as "reverse birth." When the eggs hatch, the male becomes pregnant and gives birth to live young. Seahorses are slow swimmers, averaging about 0.05 miles per hour (5 inches per second). They have excellent camouflage and can blend into their surroundings to avoid predators.

Seahorses often form long-term pair bonds, with some pairs staying together for up to 2 years. They feed on small crustaceans, including plankton, fish larvae, and shrimp.

Seahorses can be found in shallow coastal waters around the world, in coral reefs and seagrass beds. This underwater photo was taken at the Blue Heron Bridge - a famous dive site in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Seahorses are truly one of the most captivating and unique marine animals on our planet.

The 30 × 40 metal print of this epic photo is a limited edition.

NOTE: The photo sof the layout is to show what it looks like in a room when it is mounted.
